1) Short Course Programme 2027

Our core Short Course programme offers people the opportunity to develop their creative practice, learn new skills and explore different materials, techniques and approaches.

We’re interested in proposals for:

  • One-off workshops
  • Weekend workshops
  • Multi-week evening or daytime courses
  • Beginner-friendly introductions to a medium or practice
  • Intermediate or extension opportunities
  • Experimental, cross-disciplinary or unusual creative practices

Courses might focus on developing practical skills, exploring a particular medium, completing a creative project or giving participants space to experiment and develop their own approach.

2) Summer at TLC

Summer at TLC is an opportunity to make the campus feel especially alive, playful and creative.

Alongside our regular Short Course programme, we’re looking for shorter, accessible and sometimes slightly more adventurous experiences that encourage people to come to TLC, try something new and spend time making.

This could include workshops connected with our Summer feature programmes, including Rambling Week and Going Big, as well as standalone summer activities.

We’re particularly interested in ideas that are:

  • Easy to step into
  • Experiential and participatory
  • Suitable for people who may be new to TLC
  • Connected to summer, place, exploration or creative experimentation
  • Able to work as a short workshop, pop-up or special event

This is a great place for an idea that might be too short, playful, experimental or unusual for a traditional course format.

3) Corporate Experiences

We’re also developing a menu of creative experiences for organisations and teams.

These aren't traditional art classes. They use creative practice as a way for people to connect, make something together, celebrate, experiment and experience TLC as a team.

Experiences might work for team days, celebrations, end-of-year events, professional development or simply an opportunity for colleagues to do something different together.

We’re interested in experiences that:

  • Work well with groups
  • Are accessible to people with little or no art experience
  • Create opportunities for interaction and connection
  • Have a clear activity or creative outcome
  • Can usually be delivered within a defined timeframe
  • Could potentially be adapted for different organisations or group sizes

An existing workshop may also have potential to become a Corporate Experience with some thoughtful adaptation.

Ready to propose something?

1. Have a chat with the Short Courses team.

If your idea is still taking shape, that's absolutely fine. We can help you think about format, audience and where it might fit.

2. Complete a proposal for each offering you'd like us to consider.

Give us enough information to understand the idea, what participants will experience and what you'll need to deliver it.

3. We'll review the proposal with you.

We'll consider how the idea fits with the wider programme, timing, audience, resources and viability, and work with you to shape the final offering.

You don't need to have every detail figured out before you begin.
Start with the creative idea. We can help you shape the course around it.
